Choosing Autoresponder

There are many autoresponders (software) and autoresponder services available. You could purchase your own autoresponder software and then use your computer and your email account to send your messages. However, I do not recommend this option.

Firstly, because it will take your computer and your email service a very long time to send out a high number of emails. Secondly, when your email provider sees the large amount of emails going out from your account they will assume you are spamming, and maybe take measures against you.

The other, much better, option is to utilize a professional autoresponder service. You can even find free emailing services, which I don’t recommend because they are less reliable, and because they will include their own advertising when sending out your emails.

So, I recommend you choose one of the leading and best autoresponders on the market – AWeber or GetResponse. For a relatively small monthly fee those autoresponder services handle everything concerning email list building, scheduling and sending out emails.

Web Forms

With any of them you can have as many lists as you like. They will create the web form that you install on your web pages to capture subscribers. The web forms are based on templates that you can customize to your liking. Then you copy/paste a snippet of code which you add to your web pages.

The result is an opt-in form displaying on your web pages, where visitors enter their name and email address and to join your email list. If you use a double opt-in system (which you should), they must confirm their subscription before they are added to the list.

Double Opt-in

A double opt-in just requires an additional step for the persons signing up to your newsletter or e-zine before they are actually becoming subscribers. When submitting the opt-in form they will receive an email from you asking them to click a link in that email to confirm their subscription.

Both the two autoresponder services mentioned above offer lots of different tools and features to help you make the most out of your email marketing efforts. They also have tutorials and knowledge bases in addition to helpful support.

A list of subscribers you can email news, updates and offers to, is a big asset for your online business, so you absolutely need to build one. To manage your list and email submission you ‘must’ have an email organizer (auto-responder) service. It’s well worth your money!

1. Expand each article based on one tip

Take each of the 7 tips in your article and turn each tip into an article. Then you are going to take those articles and expand it into a chapter.

Instead of a 300 to 500 word article, you may want 1,000, 1,500 words, 2,000 words. Here's how you take a 50-word tip and turn it into a chapter. You basically do what I call a "brain / heart dump." That means everything you know about something, everything you feel about something, everything you've experienced about something, boom, you're going to pour it into that chapter.

Use testimonials, use case studies, use examples. Use a quote that fits into what you're talking about and then explain that quote; how it applies for your particular situation, your particular topic and your particular niche.

You're basically beefing up your content. Hear me on this, when I say beefing up your content, I do not mean fluffing it up. I do not mean filling it up with fluff. I do not mean doing things like – I think it was ninth grade and I had a report due that required a certain amount of words, and what I did was every time I cited a year, instead of like 1972, I spelled out the phrase and somehow Mr. Ivy, my Civics teacher, did not quite approve of that.

I'm not talking about putting fluff in there. I'm talking about adding additional good quality content

2. Use your original 7 tips article as an introduction / overview

Guess what? What else goes into a book typically is an introduction and the conclusion. You already have your introduction. Guess what your introduction is? Your 7 tips article. That 300 to 500-word article is already the introduction, maybe with a few other words added before and after, and boom, there you go.

You've got your introduction. You've got your seven chapters.

3. DO NOT write a conclusion

Never, ever, ever write a conclusion. Toss out what you learned in journalism or English class, because in my e-books I never have a conclusion. I have an invitation section. I marked that section Invitation and then I invite people to continue further with me and continue education either through something that's free, like coming to a teleseminar or downloading a recording of a teleseminar, an audio replay, or to further invest with me.

That's one of the rules for all of my students. In everything that you put out there, always have a way for them to further invest with you or further further continue with you in some way or both. I basically turned that into an Invitation section in an e-book. Boom. Three steps, you've got an e-book.

The funny thing is, the 10 I open are from the same people every day! Why? Because I trust the people who send me those emails. The other 490 emails do not get opened, get deleted, get sent to a swipe file, etc.

So why do I trust those people over the others? It's not like my grandmother is emailing me! I have never met these people in person. So why?

Why do I open some emails and not others?

1) I consistently receive quality content from the people whose emails I open. Note here: I used to open a particular person's email regularly, I had purchased a product from him, and then he sent me an email that was very much off-niche and a complete waste of my time. I rarely open his emails now. I no longer trust him.

2) The headline is consistent with the email is consistent with link in the email. If I open an email that advertises a free tool, and then the email tells me it is $ 5 and then the web site tells me it is $ 100, but I can get $ 95 back if I do not like it – I feel scared and probably will not continue to open that person's email. Always be consistent.

3) Some people send me free stuff that is really free. I never know when I am getting a gift from them, so I open their emails.

Write it from the stand-point of your visitor. If you were the visitor to this site would these benefits convince you to purchase this product.

Keep your sentences short but to the point. Also make your paragraphs no more than four to five sentences. Visitors to your web site do not like to read long drawn out paragraphs. Try to make the benefits of your product stand out, emphasize them by using bold, italic, underlined or even a different text type then the rest of your web site. You want your visitor to take notice of your benefits.

When writing the content of your website always write it from the stand-point of the customer. Try to convince yourself that the purchase of your product would be in your best interest. When you have finished writing your web site, always get somebody else to read it over and give you their opinion. If they suggest that certain charges be made, then try to follow their suggestions. Remember you are biased, they are not, you want to buy your product , they don’t. Remember it’s always easy to convince yourself to buy your product. It’s a completely different situation to convince a complete stranger to buy your product.

Place your benefit section after your problem solving section of your web site. Stress the benefits of your product, the customer always wants to know what’s in it for me? How will I benefit by using your product? This is what you must tell them within this section.

The summary of your benefits should be separated from the benefits section, placed more toward the end of your web site say just before your closing section. Remember you still have a list of 15 features or selling points that you can use for this section. Try not to make your benefits summary a repeat of your benefits section. Give them other points of interest. The reason that you would place the summary of your benefits closer to your closing or call to action section is to make it easier to close the sale.

Always stress the fine points about your product. Your purpose is to convince them to buy your product, by telling them all the good things about your product. Once the person understands how they will benefit by using your product, they will pretty much convince themselves that they want your product. This makes it easier for you to get them to take action and purchase it. Remember that you can tweak the truth a little bit, but remember that your product must deliver on all your promises. If not you will not get return customers.
